Terms Entered in Search
When a visitor types a name, place, or other term into a search tool, that query passes to the independent provider that operates the tool. Zavala County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider receives the query under its own data practices, so visitors should review that provider's privacy terms before submitting personal details.
Emails and Other Messages
If someone emails us or submits a contact message, we retain the information needed to read the request, respond, and maintain a record of the exchange. Those messages are not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law, a valid legal process, or the protection of legal rights. A message sent here does not reach the Zavala County Jail, Sheriff's Office, a court clerk, TDCJ, IVSS, or another government custodian.
Details Collected During a Visit
Routine web systems may record technical and usage details when a page loads. This information helps operate the site, understand traffic, diagnose faults, and guard against misuse. Depending on the visitor's device and browser, those details may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name, browser version, and related settings
- Device category, operating system, and display traits
- Pages opened and the time spent on them

- Sending a search request to the selected outside search provider
- Learning which Zavala County record pages visitors find useful

Privacy Beyond This Domain
Links may lead to the Zavala County Sheriff and Open Records pages, Texas court or corrections resources, IVSS, federal or immigration systems, legal resources, and independent search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination's privacy notice and technical controls govern. Texas government records may also be subject to access and confidentiality rules in Texas Government Code Chapter 552, but that statute does not control an unrelated private provider's collection practices.
Some advertising partners use their own cookies, pixels, or similar tools to understand activity across multiple websites and choose ads. That tracking takes place through the partner's systems rather than systems controlled by Zavala County Released Inmates. Visitors should use the partner's settings or browser controls to manage those choices.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may reach service providers or public authorities when needed for the functions described in this notice:
- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure visits and page performance
- Advertising networks that deliver and assess ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Safeguards and Their Limits
We use ordinary administrative and technical practices intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. As a result, we cannot promise that information sent to or handled through an internet-connected service will be immune from every breach or misuse.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent personal information, that adult may use the Contacts page to identify the submission and request its deletion. We will review the request and remove information under our control when reasonably verifiable and legally permitted.
Choices About Your Information
Subject to applicable law, identity checks, and whether we actually hold the information, a person may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data held about that person
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate
- Delete information when retention is not required
- Stop or limit certain processing where a valid choice applies
These requests reach only information controlled by Zavala County Released Inmates. A sheriff record, Zavala court file, TDCJ record, IVSS registration, or search partner's data must be addressed to that custodian under its own process. A Texas public record is not changed by editing a private site's contact record.
Revisions to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as services, technology, or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted on this page and identified by a new effective date. Continued use after publication means the visitor accepts the updated practices.
