Contacts

Zavala County Released Inmates is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the government office responsible for the event or document.

Official Custody and Record Contacts

Choose the contact by the last known custody system and the fact that needs proof. The jail confirms whether a local booking is current and holds its release or transfer trail. A clerk supplies court documents. Probation and parole are separate offices. TDCJ, IVSS, BOP, and ICE each cover a different state or federal record. Published office hours are included where the research identified them; call before visiting when hours are not posted.

BOP and ICE records are separate from Zavala County and TDCJ custody systems.

Use the route that matches the request:

  • For immediate local custody status, call the Zavala County Jail. If the person is no longer held, ask for the date and disposition of the latest booking.
  • For a durable jail release or transfer record, send a written request headed “Public Information Request” to Zavala County Open Records. Describe existing records and provide contact details.
  • For a district-court bond order, judgment, dismissal, sentence, or supervision order, contact the District Clerk. County-level cases belong with the County Clerk.
  • For court-ordered community supervision, use Zavala County Adult Probation. For TDCJ parole or mandatory supervision assigned to Zavala, use Del Rio DPO.
  • For a current state prisoner or past TDCJ incarceration and release history, use TDCJ information channels. The live inmate search includes only people currently incarcerated in a TDCJ facility.
  • For participating county notices, use IVSS-Counties. State-prison notifications use the separate TDCJ IVSS service. Neither alert platform replaces the official event record.
  • For federal custody, use BOP. For immigration detention, use ICE ODLS, which has a limited post-release display window. Neither locator proves what happened in Zavala County custody.

A current roster absence is not proof of community release. Ask for the release type and receiving agency because the event may be a transfer to TDCJ, another county, USMS, or ICE. Match records with a booking number, SID, TDCJ number, cause number, federal register number, or A-number when one is lawfully available.
